Searching for somewhere chic, stylish and truly friendly towards toddlers and babies?
The Burrow has been designed with children and toddler friendly holidays in mind. Children are not only welcomed, they have their own chest stocked with toys and games. We also offer a kitchen cupboard dedicated to brightly coloured melamine crockery, children’s DVD’s are available to loan, and you can even request a basket of age appropriate toys for under 5’s. The large garden is private and enclosed, and all to the front of The Burrow, so you can sit an read a book, with your children in easy sight.
There is also a large full sized fridge freezer, so that you can fill it with delicious food for the entirety of your stay. On the day of your arrival you can arrange for a supermarket delivery from Waitrose (Sidmouth), Sainsbury’s (Ottery St. Mary), or Tescos (Honiton) to The Burrow between 11am and 2pm, and we will unpack this for you, so that it is all ready for you, on your arrival. A dishwasher and washing machine within the kitchen also mean that you spend less time doing menial chores, and more time enjoying your holiday.
There are no flights of stairs within The Burrow, as it is split level, so there are only 3 steps inside to separate the living and sleeping areas, so no large flights of stairs inside to tumble down. (there is a retractable stair gate at the top of these steps).
Also, being only 5 miles from the seaside at Sidmouth, means fantastic beach holidays, building sandcastles and fishing in rockpools.
There is also a huge plethora of child friendly attractions within a 10-30 minute drive of The Burrow, and we have dedicated a whole section of our written guide, to be found in The Burrow, to ideas for entertaining your little ones whilst staying with us. We will email you a copy so that if you wish to plan your holiday before your arrival, you can do so.
We can also provide a selection of baby and toddler equipment for you to borrow during your stay, which means that parents can travel lighter, without huge bagfuls of baby necessities. These include:
- travel cot (please note that due to health and safety, we are unable to provide bedding, duvets and pillows etc for this cot, although you are welcome to bring your own)
- toddler cutlery and tableware
- highchair and splash mat
- table booster seat
- toilet training seat
- step up stool for sink
- changing mat
- selection of age appropriate toys for under 5’s
